I the Mighty is a post-hardcore band formed in 2007 in San Francisco , California and currently signed to Equal Vision Records . There the group released their debut album Satori in 2012 and the EP Karma Never Sleeps a year later . The second studio album Connector was also released via Equal Vision.

The group was founded in 2007 in San Francisco by singer Brent Walsh, guitarist Ian Pedigo, bassist Chris Hinkley and drummer Blake Dahlinger. A year later, the EP named after the band was released on Adamant Records' own label, which made the punk label Equal Vision Records aware of the group and signed them in 2011. A second EP called Hearts & Spades was released in 2010 as a free download on Bandcamp .

In 2012 the band released their third EP, Karma Never Sleeps , this time through Equal Vision. A year later, the debut album Satori followed . In April 2013 the band played several concerts with Set It Off and For All I Am . A month earlier, the band could be seen at several concerts with Hands Like Houses . A concert tour followed in June as the opener for Say Anything .

In April and May 2014 I the Mighty was the opening act for Architects and Letlive with Glass Cloud . toured the United States . A month later, the quartet completed the entire Warped Tour . In September 2014 singer Brent Walsh announced that he would release his solo debut album on November 10, 2014 via Equal Vision Records. On June 2, 2015, the band's second album, called Connector , was released via Equal Vision Records. On June 25, 2015 the band started a tour with Too Close to Touch and Hail the Sun , which led through the United States and Canada . This concert tour ended on July 12, 2015 in Atlanta , Georgia .

After allegations of sexual harassment against singer Brent Walsh became known on July 24, 2020, drummer Blake Dahlinger left the group and announced in his statement that he would believe the "survivors". The remaining musicians then announced that the band's activities would be put on hold for an indefinite period.
