Haim G. Ginott

Haim G. Ginott (born August 5, 1922 in Tel Aviv , † November 4, 1973 in New York City ) was an Israeli psychologist who studied the relationship between parents and their children.

Ginott began working as a primary school teacher in Israel in 1947 . After emigrating to the United States , he studied psychology at Columbia University , where he received his doctorate in clinical psychology in 1952 .

Ginotts known work Between parent and child ( parents and children ) in 1965 was translated into several languages and was a few years bestsellers .
