Haim Katz

Haim Katz ( Hebrew חיים כץ, Born December 21, 1947 in Germany ) is an Israeli politician of the Likud party .

Life

Katz emigrated from Germany to Israel at the age of two. After his school days and his military service, he worked as an electrical engineer in Israel. Katz is married, has three children and lives in Schoham .

politics

Katz has been a member of the Knesset since 1999 . At first he was a member of the Am Echad party , in 2003 he switched to the Likud party. Katz has been Minister of Welfare and Social Services in the Netanyahu IV cabinet since May 2015 . In August 2019, Katz resigned from his ministerial office after charges of fraud and breach of trust were brought against him.
