Coordinates: 50 ° 59 '17.6 "  N , 13 ° 38' 24.1"  O The Hainsberger Metallwerk GmbH is a company in the Saxon town of Freital . It specializes in the design and production of plastic and metal products. The headquarters are on Dresdner Strasse in the Hainsberg district.

history

Foundation and first years

The company was founded on January 25th, 1902 as a Saxon punching and drawing plant, and was given its current name in 1911. Mainly bicycle parts such as bicycle handlebars , sleeves , etc. were manufactured. In 1906 the production of racing bikes of the brand "National" started . During the First World War and the Second World War , armaments had to be produced.

Post War & Nationalization

In July 1945 the company was completely dismantled. Several employees bought machines from nearby Dresden and dared to start over. The production of stamped and drawn parts, household and kitchen appliances and construction fittings was started.

In 1949 bicycles were made again. From 1950 light motorcycles were assembled. In 1952, 30,000 bicycles and 20,000 bicycle frames left the factory. In 1953 the company was incorporated into VEB Kfz-Zubehörwerke Dresden and thus belonged to the Industrieverband Fahrzeugbau (IFA) . Bicycles and motorcycles were no longer produced, the bicycle parts division was outsourced. Since then, exhaust systems for mopeds have been manufactured.

The tooling held in 1957 for the automotive industry with the production of molds feeder. From 1964 the company specialized in nozzle holders for diesel engines and was the only manufacturer of these parts within the GDR .

Reprivatisation & the present

After the reunification , the company was privatized to Hainsberger Metallwerk GmbH and in 1991 became part of TOSS GmbH & Co KG from Alten-Buseck . It currently has 70 employees.
