The Halbach flows through the Halbachtal valley of the same name and is a left tributary of the Gölsen in the Mostviertel in Lower Austria .
Surname
The name of the half- ax can be traced back to the ancient Greek ἅλος halos , which means "salt" and refers to salty springs ( brine springs ), which ultimately also feed the salt bath .
geography
The Halbach rises north of the Kalten Kuchl and flows about 19 km to the north until it flows into the Gölsen near Rainfeld in the market town of St. Veit an der Gölsen . The largest flowed through place is Kleinzell , which is known for the health resort of Salzerbad.
