The Hales Peak is a turn 1000 m high mountain peaks in the northeast of Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises from the northeast shoulder of Mount Cabeza .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1955 to 1957 were used by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the British physiologist and physicist Stephen Hales (1677–1761), who was the first to measure blood pressure and who is considered the forefather of preventive medicine .
