The Hall nunatak is a nunatak in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Ellsworth Mountains it rises 3 km southeast of the Thomas Nunatak on an icy step at the head of the Minnesota Glacier .
A team of geologists from the University of Minnesota , which explored the Ellsworth Mountains between 1963 and 1964, named the Nunatak. It is named after George S. Hall, head of a helicopter crew of the 62nd Transportation Corps Detachment of the United States Army to provide logistical support for the geology team.
