Hamit Şare

Hamit Şare (born February 19, 1982 in Bursa ) is a Turkish ski racer. He specializes in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom .

Career

Şare started skiing at the age of five. In 1993 he became a member of the teams of the Turkish Ski Association. In the course of his career he won seven national championship titles.

Between 2001 and 2009 he took part in the Alpine World Ski Championships four times. He achieved his best result at the 2007 World Cup in Åre with 39th place in the slalom.

In 2006 he was a member of the six-person Turkish team at the Olympic Winter Games in Turin. At that time, Şare was studying at the sports faculty of Uludağ University in Bursa.

He contested his only World Cup race so far in October 2009 in Sölden.
