Hamlet Lima Quintana (born September 15, 1923 in Morón , † February 21, 2002 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine poet, singer, composer and painter.

Quintana began his musical career in the Compañía de Folklore of Ariel Ramírez , later he formed the quartet Los Musiqueros with Mario Arnedo Gallo , Antonio Rodríguez Villar and Chango Farías Gómez , from which a trio with Gallo and Raúl Cerrutti emerged . He appeared as a soloist, became a member of Los Mandingas with Eduardo Andrade and Osvaldo Andino Álvarez and recorded a solo LP at the Editorial Discográfica Universidad del Litoral .

In 1954 Quintana published his first volume of poetry, Mundo en el rostro , which was followed by more than 25 more. He continued to write more than four hundred songs, a large part of which appeared in his Cancionero , edited by Torres Agüero , and those by composers such as Mario Arnedo Gallo , Alfredo Rosales , Norberto Ambrós , Iván Cosentino , Remo Pignoni , Oscar Alem , Horacio Salgán , Carlos Guastavino , Enrique Llopis , Emilio de la Peña , Eladia Blázquez , Eduardo Aragón , Ángel Ritro , Carlos Bergesio , Oscar Cardozo Ocampo , Moncho Miérez , Eduardo Andrade , Chacho Echenique , Tacún Lazarte , Jorge Rojas , J. Gar Isella , Julio Lacaría , Juan Caffi and Litto Nebbia were set to music.

His Zamba para no Morir , known in Bolivia as Zamba del Che, became famous. With Guastavino he wrote the song cycle Edad del asombro , which was part of the repertoire of the children's choir of the Teatro Colón for many years . The cantata Los juegos with the music of Norberto Ambrós was recorded by the children's choir of the Ministry of Education of the Province of Cordoba, La Pampa with the music of Oscar Alem from the Coro de Cámara de Olavarría . His cantata Che - Diario del regreso with the music of Oscar Cardozo Ocampo was performed in Cuba in 1999, Jaime Francisco de Nevares with music by Reinaldo Labrín for orchestra, choir and soloists had its world premiere a year before his death.
