Morón is a city in Argentina in the municipality of the same name, Morón . The city is located in the province of Buenos Aires and has 92,725 inhabitants (2001).

In 1891 Gregorio de Laferrère was elected the first mayor of Morón. The city has been the bishopric of the diocese of Morón since 1957, with the cathedral of Morón . In 1960 the private University of Morón (Universidad de Morón UM) was founded.
