The Diocese of Morón ( lat. : Dioecesis Moronensis , span. : Diócesis de Morón ) is in Argentina situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Morón .

history

The diocese of Morón was on February 11, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. erected with the papal bull Quandoquidem adoranda from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of La Plata . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires as a suffragan .

In April 1961 the diocese gave territorial shares for the establishment of the diocese of San Martín and in July 1969 for the establishment of the diocese of San Justo . On May 13, 1997, the diocese Merlo-Moreno was established from other areas .
