Jorge Vázquez

Jorge Vázquez (born March 13, 1950 in Lomas de Zamora , Buenos Aires Province , Argentina ) is an Argentine Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Morón .

Life

Jorge Vázquez received on 31 March 1983, the sacrament of the priesthood by the Bishop of Lomas de Zamora, Desiderio Elso Collino .

On December 3, 2013 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Castra Nova and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Lomas de Zamora . He received his episcopal ordination on December 29th of the same year by the Bishop of Lomas de Zamora, Jorge Rubén Lugones SJ . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz , José María Arancedo , and the Bishop of Rafaela , Luis Alberto Fernández .

Jorge Vázquez was also vicar general of the Lomas de Zamora diocese.

Pope Francis appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Morón on February 3, 2017 . With the age-related resignation of Luis Guillermo Eichhorn on June 30, 2017, he succeeded him as Bishop of Morón.
