The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lomas de Zamora ( lat. : Dioecesis Clivi Zamorensis , span. : Diócesis de Lomas de Zamora ) is in Argentina situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Lomas de Zamora .
history
The diocese Lomas de Zamora was on February 11, 1957 by Pope John XXIII. Erected with the papal bull Quandoquidem adoranda from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of La Plata and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires as a suffragan . On April 10, 1961, the diocese of Lomas de Zamora gave up parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Avellaneda . Another assignment of territory took place on July 18, 1969 to establish the diocese of San Justo . On April 24, 2001, other areas were assigned to the Diocese of Avellaneda-Lanús.
