Luis Alberto Fernández Alara (born October 26, 1946 in Lomas de Zamora , Province of Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is Bishop of Rafaela .
Life
Luis Alberto Fernández received on June 29, 1975 through Pope Paul VI. the sacrament of ordination .
On January 24th, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Carpi and ordered him auxiliary bishop of Buenos Aires. The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on March 27 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Lomas de Zamora , Jorge Rubén Lugones SJ, and the Archbishop of Mercedes-Luján , Agustín Roberto Radrizzani SDB , and the Archbishop of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz , José María Arancedo .
On September 10, 2013, Pope Francis appointed his former auxiliary bishop as Bishop of Rafaela. The inauguration took place on November 22nd of the same year.
