The company Hanika guitars based in Baiersdorf (Germany) is a guitar making - manufacturing for classical guitars .

history

The founder Helmut Hanika (1932) had learned violin making from his grandfather Anton Mayer in Baiersdorf . When he came of age, from 1953 onwards he started producing striking guitars under the SOLI brand in his own company and supplied the Hopf company, among others . In the 1970s, Hanika switched to manufacturing classical guitars, most of which are handcrafted. The company now belongs to his son Armin Hanika.

Product breakdown

The guitar manufacturer divides its range into 4 groups:

  • The basic class is a guitar class designed for beginners with solid tonewoods and rosewood fingerboards throughout.
  • The middle class for guitarists with somewhat higher demands includes guitars in spruce or cedar and a cedro neck reinforced with ebony on all models .
  • The upper class is characterized by an even more elaborate workmanship with pronounced ornamentation .
  • The master class combines guitars that are individually manufactured according to the guitarist's wishes .
