The Hankelsburg is a deserted courtyard northeast of Wilsbach , a district of Bischoffen in the Hessian Lahn-Dill district .
Geographical location
The Hankelsburg was located around 750 m (as the crow flies ) northeast of the church in today's village of Wilsbach. She stood near the mouth of coming from the east diaper Bach in the Aar influx Wilsbach on the south bank of the Wilsbachs to about 310 m above sea level. NN . The area is now part of the Lahn-Dill-Bergland Nature Park .

The Hankelsburg served as a rest stop on the Siegen-Marburg section of the Brabanter Straße , one of the most important continental west-east-oriented military and trade routes. Travelers could change their horses there.
A building erected in the 19th century was probably demolished at the beginning of the 20th century.
