Hanna Jursch (singer)

Hanna Jursch (also: Hanna Rinella ; * around 1980) is a jazz singer .

Life

Hanna Jursch won the Winning Jazz Music Prize for the first time in 1995 , before studying jazz singing with Romy Camerun from 1999 and until 2005 in Hanover at the then University of Music and Theater . During this period in 2004 she also studied in London with Norma Winstone and Victoria Newton .

Jursch conducted master classes and workshops with Tuck & Patti as well as with Gabriele Hasler , Silvia Droste , Jean Carne , Bobby McFerrin , Richie Beirach , Chick Corea and The Real Group.

With her repertoire ranging from traditional jazz to modern jazz, gospel, pop, soul and salsa, Jursch has performed at international festivals at home and abroad, including the Montreux Jazz Festival , International Jazz Festival Granada in Spain and the Jazz Peru Internacional in Lima . Jursch, who was heard on numerous radio and television appearances and more than 20 CD recordings, also toured in concerts through America, Peru, Poland, England and Switzerland. She was a member of big bands like Clean, Fine & Funky, the Landesjugendjazzorchester Niedersachsen and "Windmachine", offered jazz singing in the Hanna Jursch Quartet and schultzing , soul with Miss Trigger and The Screenclub , salsa in the band Havana and gospel in the formation Hanna Jursch & Anja Mohr . She also appeared as a soloist at various gospel events. With the formation schultzing she released several albums.

In 2006 Hanna Jursch took on a teaching position for singing at the Institute for Jazz, Rock, Pop of today's Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.

The furniture dealer Robert Hesse (1936–2018) from Garbsen was a sponsor of the singer who lived there at the time when she and her husband, the opera singer Alessandro Rinella , created a new concert format with the union of pop and classical music.
