Hanna Zdanowska
Hanna Elżbieta Zdanowska (born March 23, 1959 in Łódź as Hanna Elżbieta Aleksandrzak ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ). She was a member of the Sejm and has been President of the City of Łódź since 2010.
Life
She learned on XXVI. general education high school Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński in Łódź ( XXVI Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. Krzysztofa Kamila Baczyńskiego ). She then studied at the Politechnika Łódzka in the Department of Construction and Architecture. She then worked in construction before setting up on her own in 1987. In 1991 she became an employee of IHK Holding SA . In 2001 she became the director of the Łódz Chamber of Commerce and Crafts ( Łódzkiej Izby Przemysłowo-Handlowej ). In 2006 she was elected to the Łódź City Council and in January 2007 was appointed Deputy Mayor. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 , Hanna Zdanowska was able to win a seat for the Sejm in constituency 9 Łódź with 11,506 votes . She worked in the Commissions for Territorial Self-Government and Regional Policy and the Friendly State ( Przyjazne Państwo ). In November 2010 she successfully ran for election as President of the City of Łódź. She was sworn in on December 13, 2010, and her seat in the Sejm was taken over by John Godson , the first member of the Polish parliament of African descent . In the election for city president in October 2018, she was able to prevail in the first ballot with 70.2% of the votes against the PiS candidate Waldemar Bude, who received 23.7% of the votes, and seven other candidates.
She is not married and has a son.
