Hannah Morrison (* before 1998) is a Dutch opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Hannah Morrison comes from a Scottish-Icelandic family and grew up in Holland. There she studied singing and piano before moving to the Cologne University of Music and Dance , where she studied with Barbara Schlick and received her concert diploma. At that time she also completed a Master of Music in Performance at the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Professor Rudolf Piernay .

She recently performed with Masaaki Suzuki and the Bach Collegium Japan with the Musik Podium Stuttgart ( Frieder Bernius ), with the Ricercar Ensemble ( Philippe Pierlot ), with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn ( Stefan Blunier ), with the Capella Augustina ( Andreas Spering ) and the Bavarian Radio Choir ( Olari Elts ). In the current season she will do several tours with Philippe Herreweghe .

As a solo singer she was invited to give concerts in the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn (2015) and in the Cologne Philharmonic (2016), which she performed with Joseph Middleton . In the UK, she has given vocal recitals with pianists Eugene Asti and Graham Johnson at the Oxford Festival and in prominent London venues such as Kings Place and Wigmore Hall . In June 2015 she also gave a guest performance with the lutenist Sören Leupold at the Potsdam Sanssouci Music Festival .

Hannah Morrison lives with her family in Cologne.
