Hanne Landgraf (born October 14, 1914 in Karlsruhe , born as Hanne Siebert , † January 19, 2005 there ) was a politician and is an honorary citizen of the city of Karlsruhe.

Landgraf joined the SPD in 1946 and was a member of the Karlsruhe city council from 1953 to 1969 and of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1966 to 1976 . 1968–72 she was the only woman in the state parliament. Throughout her life she showed great commitment and expertise in charitable and political tasks, fought for social justice and remained humble.

She was active in many clubs: Chairwoman of the mother's recovery organization , 83 years of membership and honorary member of the sports club FSSV Karlsruhe eV , which she built up in 1945 with her father Karl Siebert and where she was a children's gymnast for many years. She also belonged to the free religious community.

The Karlsruher Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) also owes a lot to her. In 1946 she and father Karl were among the new founders of the association. For many years she was chairwoman in Karlsruhe and deputy chairwoman of the Baden district association.

Hanne Landgraf was married to Rolf Landgraf, whom she met at the Postsportverein Karlsruhe.

Honors, awards

  • She received the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany.
  • In 1976 she was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany.
  • In 1980 she was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Medal of Merit .
  • Since 1993 she has been an honorary citizen of the city of Karlsruhe
  • She received the golden club badge of the FSSV Karlsruhe and the golden plaque of merit of the Badischer Turnerbund
  • The Marie Juchacz plaque of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt was awarded to her in 1974.
  • The Hanne-Landgraf-Haus, a senior center of the AWO in Grötzingen , got her name.
  • The Hanne Landgraf Foundation of the AWO Karlsruhe has existed in Karlsruhe since 2005 . The focus is on helping materially poor children. The foundation wants to help children to maintain their social connections and to prevent exclusion. The share capital was financed from the proceeds of a house that Landgraf had donated to AWO Karlsruhe.
