Hanne Schiefer

Johanna "Hanne" Schiefer , b. Johanna Griesinger , (born December 13, 1914 in Lauffen am Neckar , † September 23, 2010 ibid) was a German farmer and chairwoman of the rural women’s association of Württemberg.

Live and act

Hanne grew up in Lauffen am Neckar. She married in 1937 and her husband died in World War II . As a widow and mother of two daughters, she had to take responsibility for running the farm at an early age. After the war she joined the rural women and was a founding member of the rural women's association of Württemberg. From 1956 to 1970 she was district chairwoman of the Heilbronn rural women’s association. She established numerous connections to other groups and organizations such as the regional women's council , farmers' association , rural youth and WLZ Raiffeisen and maintained them. The popular camps in Schramberg and Graun / South Tyrol were initiated and managed by her. Twelve other local associations were founded during her tenure.

From 1959 to 1979 Hanne Schiefer was the regional association chairwoman of the rural women’s association Württemberg-Baden e. V. She was in great demand as a speaker and was on the road throughout the association. It was the initial spark for many foundations of local associations. As the long-time regional chairwoman of the rural women’s association of Württemberg-Baden , she succinctly summed up the structural change in agriculture after the war with the words "Detach - Adapt - Risk". The bustling countrywoman gave impetus to the building of the Hohenheim farmer's school. She was also a temporary member of the federal committee for rural women .

Hanne Schiefer was involved in a variety of ways and on several levels. In addition to her work for the rural women, she was u. a. Member of the consumer advice center and the regional women's council. From 1959 to 1973 she was a district councilor in Heilbronn . From 1975 to 1977 she was 2nd chairwoman of the Baden-Württemberg State Women's Council.
