Hannelore Cyrus

Hannelore Cyrus (born February 7, 1935 - † April 28, 2020 ) was a German social scientist and historian .

Life

After completing a second degree , Hannelore Cyrus worked from 1979 as a lecturer and as a research assistant at the University of Bremen in the social sciences course. Her work focuses on historical women's studies , criminology and empirical social research . In addition, she worked as a freelancer for Radio Bremen's science radio . She was a co-founder of the culture, communication and education center for women "belladonna" in Bremen and has been the chairman of the association since its inception. Cyrus was the author of numerous scientific publications.

Hannelore Cyrus lived in the Lower Saxon community of Stuhr , south of Bremen. She died in late April 2020 at the age of 85.
