Hannelore Huber (born April 30, 1945 in Eichendorf , Bavaria ; † November 7, 2017 in Vienna ) was an Austrian psychologist and behavioral therapist.

family

Hannelore Huber was married to the former racing driver Günther Huber from 1973 . The couple have two children. Günther (born July 22, 1975) and Markus (born November 9, 1977).

academic education

After primary school in Vienna and the federal high school in Klosterneuburg , she majored in psychology at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Vienna . With the dissertation Effects of Low Carbon Monoxide Concentrations on Vigilance and Computer-Analyzed Brain Potentials , she obtained her doctorate in 1972.

Career

After completing her studies, she worked from 1972 to 1974 at the Vienna City Administration in the child care center in the 9th district . During this time she also completed training as a behavior therapist .

Already in October 1972 she became a member of the professional association of Austrian psychologists (B.ö.P. later BÖP). Later she also became a member of the Austrian Society for Behavioral Therapy (ÖGVT). From 1973 she moved her work area to St. Pölten and started in family counseling in the St. Pölten Magistrate. At the same time, she helped start and set up family counseling - Advice & Help for the Diocese of St. Pölten and worked there until the end of 2011. In 2004 she began training as a trauma therapist ( EMDR ). As a mediator, she was able to pass on her extensive knowledge to patients.

From January 1, 2012, she worked exclusively in her own practice as a clinical psychologist, health psychologist and behavioral therapist with children, adolescents and adults. She ended her career in spring 2017.
