Hannes Mahrenberger

Hannes Mahrenberger (* 1910 in Oberrasen , South Tyrol ; † 1996 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian doctor , singer , guitarist , songwriter and collector of folk songs.

Life

Hannes Mahrenberger studied medicine and received his doctorate as Dr. med. univ. His main job was as a doctor at the Innsbruck clinic.

Mahrenberger was also a guitarist, including with the Hans Aschberger Trio, from which records were also made. In the 1940s he and his musician partner Franz Cutic founded the folk music and hit duo “Gesangs-Guitarristen Dr. Mahrenberger - Cutic ”, where he worked as a singer, composer and guitarist. The successful duo subsequently recorded a number of records, e.g. For example, at the record company Elite-Special, the song Unterm Fensterl by Hans Lang and Erich Meder as well as Tyrolean folk songs and yodels .
