Hannes F. Paulus

Hannes F. Paulus (born October 17, 1943 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) is a German zoologist and university professor.

Act

Paulus studied biology, physics, chemistry and philosophy at the universities of Mainz and Vienna . In 1971 he was in Vienna with Friedrich Schaller Dr. phil. PhD.

From 1972 to 1981 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Biology I at the University of Freiburg with Günther Osche , where he qualified as a professor in 1981 in zoology. From 1981 Paulus was a professor at the Freiburg Institute and headed the department for electron microscopy. He was also responsible for courses in general zoology, evolutionary biology, entomology and ecology and led numerous faunistic excursions.

In 1991 Paulus was appointed full professor of zoology as head of the department for evolutionary biology at the University of Vienna.
