Hannes Rehm

Hannes Rehm (born January 18, 1943 in Berlin ; † September 1, 2017 in Hanover ) was a German bank manager and was CEO of Nord / LB from July 2004 to December 31, 2008 and spokesman for SoFFin from February 2009 to June 2011 .

education

Hannes Rehm attended the Goethe-Gymnasium in Frankfurt am Main and graduated with the Abitur in 1964. This was followed by internships in the commercial sector at Frankfurter Maschinenbau AG and Adam Opel AG in 1964/65 .

From 1965 to 1969 he studied at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and graduated with a degree in economics .

In 1973 he received his doctorate from the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in the Faculty of Economics.

Professional background

From 1970 to 1971 Hannes Rehm worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Economic Structural Research at the University of Frankfurt / Main.

From 1971 to 1974 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Public Finance at the Technical University of Berlin. In 1974 Rehm moved to Westdeutsche Landesbank , where he worked in various areas. From 1982 he took over the management of the central department "Executive staff".

In 1983 Rehm became bank director.

In 1987/1988 Hannes Rehm was the managing director of the Federal Association of Public Banks

In January 1990 he switched to the German Savings Banks and Giro Association . V. and was there until October 1993 managing board member and full-time deputy of the president.
