Hanns-Martin Schreiber

Hanns-Martin Schreiber (* 1954 in Schwerin ) is a German pianist and university professor .

Life

Schreiber was born in Schwerin in 1954. At the age of 16 he began his piano studies with Ruth Benkstein and Gerhard Erber at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . He took master classes with Günter Kootz , Hélène Boschi and Peter Rösel . After graduation, he became music teacher in the subject piano at the music school and Wurzen Grimma. He also worked as a lecturer for instrumental accompaniment at the Leipzig University of Music. In 1993 he took over the professorship for piano chamber music and instrumental accompaniment in Leipzig . He is a juror at music competitions and holds master classes.

Schreiber was Vice Rector for Teaching and Studies.
