Hanns Müller (politician)

Hanns Müller (born February 9, 1885 in Krefeld ; † June 21, 1972 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ). He was Lord Mayor of Krefeld from 1949 to 1951 .

Life

Hanns Müller was born as the son of the national liberal city councilor Heinrich Müller-Brüderlin in Krefeld. He attended a local secondary school and graduated from high school in 1903. He then went on to do an apprenticeship in his father's textile company Heinrich Johannes Müller-Sohn and completed technical studies in Hanover and Saxony. Even after his apprenticeship he worked in the company and later became the owner.

Müller was close to the German Democratic Party from 1919 to 1933 , after the Second World War he became a member of the FDP. He was a member of the Krefeld City Council from December 10, 1945 to October 1946 and from November 4, 1946 to autumn 1952. He held the office of Lord Mayor of Krefeld from November 17, 1949 to November 7, 1951.

Müller was a member of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge and chairman, later honorary chairman of the Krefeld animal protection association .
