The Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium (short: HCG) is a high school in the Berlin district of Kladow in the Spandau district . Around 1155 pupils are taught at the school.
The school has been based in Kladow since 2000. Before that, it was based in Hakenfelde . In 2014, the school complex of the Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium was expanded to include a new canteen.
The grammar school named after Hans Carossa was recognized by the Foundation for Environmental Education as an environmental school in Europe . The following projects contributed to the award:
- The participants of the Mikrokosmos-AG have created a permanent exhibition for the administration wing of the school.
- By participating in the GEO Day of Biodiversity , the students learned to use identification books.
- With the construction of a dry stone wall on the project day, the students got to know the importance of biotopes that have become rare .
- Since 2011, a Debating AG has been offered at the Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium , which has successfully participated in several competitions in recent years.
- Various AGs such as B. English theater AG, tennis, choir offered
- The classes have been from a to f since 2018.
- Grades a and c are bilingual (i.e. from grade 8 geography in English; from grade 9 history in English)
