Hans-Dieter Diehl (born March 30, 1951 in Schrecksbach ) is a former German football player .

Career

Diehl began his professional career at 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the 1975/76 season . He made his first appearance in the Bundesliga on September 19, 1975 against VfL Bochum (2-1). Shortly after the start of the 1976/77 season , he moved to the second division KSV Baunatal , where he had a regular place in the defense until the Hessians were relegated to the league in 1979. After the 1979/80 season Diehl left the club from Northern Hesse.
