Hans-Hagen Hartter

Hans-Hagen Hartter (* 1943 in Berlin ; † May 2001 in Heidelberg ) was a German artist and art educator . He was a professor of fine arts at the Heidelberg University of Education .

Life

Hartter was born in 1943 in Berlin, where he also grew up. At first he studied pedagogy in Bonn from 1965 to 1968 , but then from 1968 he completed a course of studies at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. During this time he was also a master student of Herbert Kaufmann .

Beginning in 1973 he worked as a lecturer for fine arts and its didactics at the Lörrach University of Education until shortly before it closed. From 1982 until his unexpected death he held a chair as professor for fine arts at the Heidelberg University of Education .

In addition to his teaching activities, Hartter created his own works as a painter, graphic artist and object artist, which are determined by passionate research into geometric and color-spectral effects.
