Nana Adoma Owusu-Afriyie (born March 22, 1999 ) is an Australian sprinter .

Athletic career

Nana Owusu-Afriyie played her first competition at international championships at the Commonwealth Youth Games 2015 in Apia , where she was eliminated in the semi-finals in the 100 meter run with 11.99 seconds. The following year, she took the Australian 4 x 100-meter relay team at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz part and finished there in 45.15 s seventh place, as well as two years later at the U20 World Championships in Tampere in 44.78 s. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , she finished sixth in 44.62 s and at the Oceania Championships in Townsvilleshe won the bronze medal in the 200-meter run in 23.86 s behind her compatriot Riley Day and Zoe Hobbs from New Zealand and won the relay in 44.47 s. Then she reached the semi-finals over 200 meters at the Summer Universiade in Naples , in which she was eliminated with 23.85 s and with the relay she won the silver medal behind Switzerland in 43.97 s.

She is a student at Deakin University .
