from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans-Jürgen Pitsch (* 1940 ) is a German educator, retired special school principal. D. and university professor. After training as a primary school teacher and special school teacher for the learning disabled , behavioral and mentally handicapped people , he worked in teacher training and held the post of headmaster at schools for the mentally disabled for a total of 22 years . He also took on an advisory role in South Korea . Until 2008 he taught didactics and methodology of teaching mentally disabled students at the University of Luxembourg .

In many of his works, Hans-Jürgen Pitschs refers to the activity theory of the cultural history school of Soviet psychology. The focus is on the appropriation psychology of Pyotr Jakowlewitsch Galperin , the concept of the zone of the next development according to Lev Semjonowitsch Wygotski and the description of human development through the sequence of dominant activities according to Alexei Nikolayevich Leontjew . Activity theory relates Pitsch to Western learning and developmental psychology , for example according to Jean Piaget , Hans Aebli and Winfried Hacker . Against this background, Pitsch extends the development of logical didactics of Georg Feuser and thus continues the materialistic special education Feusers and Wolfgang Jantzens on. On this basis, Pitsch argues for action-oriented teaching in the sense of Heinz Mühl , who suggests a project-oriented approach in teaching children with intellectual disabilities.
