Hans-Joachim Heßler (judge)

Hans-Joachim Heßler (born March 16, 1958 ) is a German lawyer and has been President of the Bavarian Supreme Court since it was re-established in 2018 .

Live and act

After studying the Rights and doctorate in 1985 he was a staff in the Department of Civil Law in the Bavarian Ministry of Justice used. After working as a public prosecutor at the Munich I Public Prosecutor's Office and as a judge at the Munich District Court , he returned to the Bavarian Ministry of Justice in 1990 as an employee in the personnel department , and from 1994 as head of a section in the civil law department. From 2000 to 2001 he worked as a judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court . Later he took over the management of the department for family and inheritance law , in 2006 the department for civil procedure law . With effect from October 6, 2008 he was appointed Vice President of the Munich Higher Regional Court , and from July 1, 2012 he was President of the Munich I Regional Court . Since September 15, 2018, he has been President of the re-established Bavarian Supreme Court.
