Hans-Kurt Mees

Hans-Kurt Mees (born January 26, 1935 in Mainz ) was a judge at the German Federal Court of Justice from 1983 to 2000 .

After completing his legal training, Mees joined the judicial service of the State of Hesse in 1963 , where he was initially employed at the Wiesbaden district and regional court . In 1967 he was appointed regional judge at the Wiesbaden regional court . In 1974 he was appointed judge at the higher regional court at the higher regional court in Frankfurt am Main .

In 1983 Mees was elected judge at the Federal Court of Justice. The Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice assigned him to the First Civil Senate , of which he was a member during the entire period of his membership in the Federal Court of Justice. There he worked as a rapporteur on competition law . Mees also published scientific publications on competition law issues. During his time at the Federal Court of Justice, he was appointed honorary professor at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .

On January 31, 2000, Mees retired after reaching the age limit. He is currently a lecturer at the VWA Wiesbaden.

He is a member of the Catholic student union KDStV Greiffenstein (Breslau) to Frankfurt am Main.
