from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans-Peter Fink (born January 20, 1949 ) is a German physicist , adjunct professor for biopolymer research at the University of Potsdam and honorary professor at the University of Kassel . From 2006 to 2015 he headed the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research in Potsdam-Golm, which he currently supports as Senior Advisor.

Life

Hans-Peter Fink studied physics at the University of Rostock with subsequent research studies until 1975. At this university he received his doctorate in 1977 and his habilitation in 1991. From 1975 to 1991 he worked at the Institute for Polymer Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in Teltow-Seehof with stays of several months as a visiting scientist at the Universities of Helsinki and Sapporo. Hans-Peter Fink has worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research since it was founded in 1992 , as head of the institute from 2006 until retirement in 2015.

Memberships

Fink is a member of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft , the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker , the Zellcheming Association , the Berlin-Brandenburg Association for Polymer Research, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Bremen Fiber Institute and the editorial board of a number of international journals ( Carbohydrate Polymers , Cellulose, Cellulose Chemistry & Technology, Natural Fibers, Polimery).
