Hans-Rüdiger Etzold

Hans-Rüdiger Etzold , called " Etze " (born February 26, 1940 in Norderney ) is a German specialist journalist and specialist book author .

Life

Etzold studied for a gauge for vehicle mechanics in Hamburg on the Wagenbauschule vehicle technology . After completing his studies , he did an internship at the automobile industry magazine in Hamburg .

In 1968 Etzold went to Stuttgart for the automobile magazine Gute Fahrt . There he was deputy editor-in-chief and played a key role in the development of the first German buggy , which was sold by Karmann ( Osnabrück ) under the model name Karmann-GF (GF = Gute Fahrt ) .

After the 5th volume of his book series This is how it's done , Etzold started his own business in 1976. Since then he has been working as a freelance writer. In 1991 he received his doctorate in Dresden at the University of Transport, with a thesis on the economic problems of Auto Union and its production program: (1945–1970) .

In addition to the car repair book series and volumes on repairs to mopeds and light motorcycles Etzold has a four-volume Volkswagen Beetle - Chronicle wrote the book on the first VW Golf GTI co-authored, and a multi-volume documentation about the Auto Union / Audi AG under the title The Sign of worked out four rings .
