Hans-Werner Moors

Hans Werner Moors (born July 24, 1950 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German soccer player and now works as a soccer coach.

Career

In professional football he was in the 2nd Bundesliga for Preußen Münster (with Benno Möhlmann ) and Arminia Bielefeld on the ball. There he was team captain and twice celebrated the second division championship and promotion to the first with Arminia ( 1978 and 1980 ) Bundesliga . In 1980 he moved like many other former Bundesliga players to the US football league NASL , where he completed ten games for Houston Hurricane .

Hans Werner Moors played a total of 34 Bundesliga games and scored one goal. In 154 second division appearances, he had 18 hits. After the end of his career, he confessed to taking Captagon while at Preußen Münster.

Coaching career

His coaching career led Moors through numerous stations such as ASC Schöppingen , Rot-Weiss Essen , FC Gütersloh , VfL Osnabrück , KSV Hessen Kassel , Holstein Kiel or SV Wilhelmshaven to Preußen Münster four times . There he was last active in the second half of the 2005/06 season, but could no longer save the traditional club from relegation. Since October 2008, Hans-Werner Moors coached the NRW league club Hammer SpVg , who was bottom of the table at the time. Moors just managed to stay up with the club. In the following season he was on leave on April 22, 2010 due to sporting failure.
