Hans Adler (politician)

Hans Adler ( January 15, 1920 - April 12, 2000 ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was deputy minister and state secretary in the GDR .

Life

Adler joined the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). From 1956 to 1958 he was Deputy Minister and State Secretary in the Ministry of the Chemical Industry of the GDR (successor to Werner Winkler ). After the dissolution of the ministry, he acted from 1958 to 1960 as sector head and deputy head of the main chemistry department of the State Planning Commission , from 1961 to 1963 as deputy chairman of the GDR's economics council and head of the chemistry department in the economics council, and from May 1963 to 1965 again as deputy Head of the Chemistry Department of the State Planning Commission. From 1966 to 1984 he worked again as Deputy Minister for the Chemical Industry. He then acted as government representative of the GDR in the GDR / Republic of Poland mixed commission for the "Friendship" oil pipeline . On January 31, 1990 he was released from his position by the Modrow government for reasons of age and Joachim Hausknecht was confirmed as his successor.

Adler last lived in Berlin and died at the age of 80.
