Hans Anderson

Hans Wilhelm Ferdinand Anderson (born July 23, 1880 in Frankfurt (Oder) , † after 1935 ) was a German legation councilor .

Life

He was the son of the accountant Rudolf Anderson and a descendant of Swedish officers and actors. After attending the secondary school in Frankfurt (Oder), he studied political science and natural sciences at the universities of Washington, Berlin, Heidelberg and Giessen. In 1902 he became a district judge actuary and from 1907 to 1913 he was a secret secretary at the embassy in Washington. From 1913 to 1923 he was a member of the German legation in Chile. In 1925 he received his doctorate from the University of Giessen to Dr. phil. In the same year he became Vice Consul in the Foreign Office. In 1926 Anderson went to Belgrade as a legation counselor and returned to the Foreign Office in Berlin in 1929, where he served until 1934.
