Hans Bayer (sociologist)
Hans Bayer (born February 3, 1903 in Vienna , † May 5, 1965 in Rome ) was an Austrian economist and social scientist. From 1956 he was a professor at the Dortmund Social Academy .
life and work
Bayer received his doctorate in economics from the University of Innsbruck in 1924 and a doctorate there in law in 1925 . He was then a research assistant, then a private lecturer and, from 1929, an adjunct professor at the University of Vienna . From 1933 he was an adjunct professor at the University of Innsbruck. He was reinstated in this position after the Second World War and became a full professor in Innsbruck in 1947 . From 1956 until his death he taught at the Dortmund Social Academy .
Bayer worked on a synthesis of pure economic theory and sociology . He wanted to capture the interrelationships of the social economy .
