Hans Bellée

Hans Ferdinand Heinrich Bellée (born February 6, 1889 in Görlitz , † January 7, 1960 in Berlin ) was a German archivist and historian .

Life

Bellée completed his schooling at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Gymnasium (Posen) in 1908 with the Abitur. He then studied in Munich and Berlin, where he received his Dr. phil. received his doctorate. After an archive traineeship at the State Archives in Posen, he passed his archivist examination in 1914 at the Prussian State Archives in Berlin. From 1916 to 1918 he was in the Imperial Archives Administration in Warsaw . Further stations were the State Archives in Münster (1919), Breslau (1920), Stettin (1926) and finally, from 1932, the Prussian Secret State Archives in Berlin, of which he became archive director in 1951. In 1954 he was adopted into retirement.

Hans Bellée was born with Magdalena. Vogt married and had a daughter with her.
