Jane Downs

Jane Downs (born January 22, 1935 in Kent , England , † May 20, 2015 in London ) was a British actress .

Life

Jane Downs was first married to actor Gerald Haper , with whom she has a daughter. In 1976 she married her colleague Terence Alexander .

Downs had her first appearance in the American television series Sword of Freedom in 1957 alongside Martin Benson and Edmund Purdom . Since then she has taken on smaller and larger roles in many series and television films. 1965 seemed Downs in the Oscar-winning movie Darling alongside Laurence Harvey and Julie Christie with. She also starred in The Last Night of the Titanic and has guest roles on series such as Z Cars alongside John Slater and Waiting for God alongside Sandra Payne and Daniel Hill . In 1982 she played his wife in a film adaptation of Nicholas Nickleby . She was most recently in the popular British series Midsomer Murders alongside John Nettles and Jane Wymark to see.
