Hans Benedict

Hans Ferdinand Benedikt (born June 17, 1936 in Munich ; † October 15, 2012 in Augsburg ) was a German engineer and founder of the Hans Benedikt Foundation .

Life

Benedikt studied electrical engineering from 1954 to 1957 at the Polytechnic in Munich (today Munich University of Applied Sciences ), from 1957 to 1959 at the RWTH Aachen and from 1959 to 1962 at the Technical University of Munich . From 1963 he was an assistant at the Institute for Measurement and Control Technology at the Technical University of Munich. In 1967 he began teaching at the Rudolf Diesel Polytechnic (later Augsburg University of Applied Sciences ).

In 1971 he was appointed professor at the newly founded Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. From 1985 he was Vice President and from October 1, 1988 to September 30, 2000 President of the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
