Hans Blinn

Hans-Günther Blinn (born September 7, 1925 in Graefenhausen , † December 26, 2006 in Landau in the Palatinate ) was a German teacher, publisher, composer and politician ( SPD ).

Life

From 1932 to 1937 Blinn attended the elementary school in Gräfenhausen, and from 1937 to 1943 the high school in Landau. In 1943 he was drafted into the Reich Labor Service and then did military service in the Air Force and was a prisoner of war until the end of 1945. In 1948 he passed the Abitur at the Oberrealschule Landau and studied German, history and geography in Heidelberg from 1948 to 1953. He finished his studies with a state examination and a doctorate to become a Dr. phil. After completing his studies, he was trainee lawyer in Landau and Speyer and then from 1955 to 1971 a teacher at the Otto Hahn Gymnasium in Landau . In 1960 he became a teacher, in 1966 a senior teacher and from 198 to 1985 director of studies at the EWH Landau .

In 1975 he was the founder of the Palatinate Art publishing house. He also worked as a composer, lyricist, producer and writer. He published some of his texts under the pseudonym Hannes Landauer .

politics

In 1943 he became a member of the NSDAP and in 1960 the SPD. From 1963 to 1979 he was a member of the Landau city council and from 1964 to 1974 honorary mayor of the city of Landau. He was deputy SPD sub-district chairman and in 1979 a member of the 9th Federal Assembly .

He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag from May 18, 1971 to May 17, 1979. In the 7th electoral term of the Landtag he was a member of the Social Policy Committee and the investigative committee »Dr. Augustine «. In the 8th electoral term he was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sport.

In addition, he was Vice President of the Palatinate Singers' Association, founder of the Elwetrittche Association for the Preservation of Customs and a member of the SWF Broadcasting Council .
