Hans Burmeister

Hans Jürgen Burmeister (born January 1, 1932 in Elmshorn ) is a German graphic artist and painter .

Life

In 1971 he was co-founder of the two artist groups Gruppe Grün and Kunstarttikel from Bremen . In 1973 he brought out the Small Bremen Portfolio with graphics by Bremen artists. In 1974 he organized a solo exhibition in the Kunsthalle Bremen with photos of the wall pictures from Bremen's Ostertorviertel. In 1975 he was elected first chairman of the professional association of visual artists in Bremen, today's Federal Association of Visual Artists. In 1978 he got a 2nd place in the competition art in public space of the university library of Bremen.

His specialties are material images, collages, assemblages, drawings, objects and photos. There have already been several exhibitions in the Kunsthalle Bremen, in various galleries in Worpswede and various solo exhibitions in some cities. In total there were over 100 exhibitions on all five continents.

He currently lives in Elsfleth .
