Eva Kausche-Kongsbak

Eva Kausche-Kongsbak (former name: Eva Kongsbak; * October 20, 1918 in Lübeck ; † December 18, 2010 in Worpswede ) was a German book illustrator , painter, graphic artist and author.

Live and act

Kausche-Kongsbak received her first artistic training at the Lübeck Art School with Willibald Leo Freiherr von Lütgendorff-Leinburg. She then studied in Hamburg at the Hanseatic University of Fine Arts and at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. There she met her future husband Martin Kausche .

Since 1945 she and her husband worked in Worpswede in various fields. She designed book covers and book illustrations. She worked in the field of free graphics and painting and was the author of book editions of the series character "Florian". Her works hang in the Worpsweder Kunsthalle.
