Hans Nicklisch

Hans Nicklisch (born March 21, 1911 in Mannheim ; † March 2, 2001 in Berlin ) was a German writer and translator .

Life

Hans Nicklisch first studied law and worked for a while as a publishing editor. As a translator for French and English literature, he drew a. a. Responsible for numerous German versions of the works of Anne Golon ( Angélique ) and Juliette Benzonis Cathérine , Marianne, a star for Napoléon , Der Nebelfalke , (series of novels) and Marjolaine, Weg der Temptation (novel).

His own literary breakthrough came in 1955 with the humorous family story Father Our Best Play , which had several editions and was filmed in 1957 with Ewald Balser and Heidi Brühl . The sequel, It doesn't work without a mother (1957), was quickly implemented on film. Ewald Balser and Heidi Brühl played again in 1958 under the direction of Erik Ode . In the following years Nicklisch wrote numerous novels, radio plays and screenplays, including a. for secret operation black chapel .

Just a few days before his 90th birthday, Hans Nicklisch died on March 2, 2001 in Berlin. He found his final resting place in the forest cemetery in Zehlendorf next to his older brother Franz Nicklisch (1906-1975), who had worked as an actor and voice actor (field 024-10).
