Heilwig von der Mehden (* 1923 in Essen ; † 1997 in Bonn ) was a German author and columnist . Her fine sense of humor is characteristic of her works and contributions.

Live and act

Von der Mehden was educated in Cologne and Bonn . After studying German, history, newspaper studies, art history, theater studies and sociology, she worked for radio, as a trainee in the feature pages of the world and as an editor. Since 1957 she has been a regular columnist for the women's magazine Brigitte every two weeks and has delighted her readership for many years with her humorous articles. She has written numerous successful books.

Von der Mehden (-Ahlers) was married to the journalist and politician Conrad Ahlers .
