Hans Bussard

Hans Bussard ( December 10, 1863 in Mannheim - November 22, 1946 in Möckmühl ) was a German theater actor , opera singer ( tenor ), director and singing teacher .

Life

Bussard originally wanted to study, but then decided to become an actor. In September 1882 he first appeared on the stage as " Staff Doctor Shepherd" in "War and Peace" in Krensburg in Silesia as an actor. Then he decided to take up vocal training, which was carried out in Berlin by Professor Engel.

His career as an opera singer began in 1887 at the Koblenz City Theater. He then worked from 1889 to 1890 at the City Theater of Magdeburg, from 1890 to 1891 at the City Theater of Nuremberg and from 1891 to 1895 at the Court Theater of Wiesbaden. In 1895 he was committed to the court theater in Karlsruhe, of which he was a member until 1925.

On his 70th birthday in 1934 he appeared again in Karlsruhe as "Eisenstein" in the "Fledermaus", and he also worked as a singing teacher in Karlsruhe.
